I just got off the phone with my friend and Two Oceans Ultra Marathon 2013 running partner Hein Wagner. He’s supposed to leave South Africa by tomorrow, flying to Argentina, boarding a vessel to the Antarctica – and run the Antarctica Marathon.
As if running a marathon wouldn’t be a big adventure for many, running under the conditions of Antarctica with really LOW temperatures is quite a task.
Now imagine: You are blind!
Hein is blind since birth, which doesn’t stop him from running, cycling or driving a car (he holds the land speed record for a blind car driver).
