I just printed the boarding passes for the flights to Durban 🙂
Now even my nerves are kicking in. It’s not very easy to concentrate on work, so I do stuff which does not require 100% of my concentration.
Today it was just a gentle and very short run without any hills. I felt strong! Good feeling for the last run before the race.
I am very happy and grateful for all the donations for PinkDrive for whom I’ll be running at Comrades. I crossed the R20,000 mark and currently I collected R21,570. If you have not yet donated, you have time until 31st of May 2014: https://secure.onreg.com/onreg2/personal/profile.php?eventid=1978&recordid=1367.
Many, many thanks to all of you who donated and supported me and this great cause!
The latest weather forecast predicts 12 – 14°C at the start in Pietermaritzburg, which is ok.
But it will get hot soon and the temperature forecast for the route predicts about 28°C. In the shade – but there won’t be much…
At least no strong winds 🙂
We will see, but I should be able to handle the weather. Whenever the temperature goes beyond 25°C at a race, I just recall the very hot Peninsula Marathon 2014 and feel better, since I ran a really good pace despite the heat.
