2 weeks and one day after my Two Oceans Ultra race I am back in my running shoes.
I got clearance from my doc to get back into running. Slow, short and without hills.
I went for a short trail run – softer surface than on tar road – and whenever I came across a hill, I switched from running to walking.
It felt so good to be running again!!!
In total I might have run 3.5 km and walked another 2 km or so. My shin is doing great, all 100%.
Tomorrow I have to rest for a day before I can lace my running shoes again. If everything goes according to the plan, I can run every other day and increase the distance slowly but steady.
