It’s “Red Socks Friday” and I planned to do a final (and first in 6 weeks) intervall session.
Well, not really like the intervalls I did in February and March (like this killer intervall), but definitely faster than I ran in the last weeks.
I chose to run 2 km as a warm up, 3 km at 5:00 min/km, 1 km break (5:45 min/km or so), 2 km at 5:00 min/km, 1 km break, 3 km at 5:00 min/km, 1.3 km cool down.
All perfect, all good, felt GREAT!
Yesterday I found a calculator to predict the Comrades finish time. Mine said 9 hours 00 minutes 31 seconds. Wow, that would be awesome, and I’d have to shave 32 sec off that time to achieve my dream finish π
It’s just a calculator. The reality will unfold on race day. Let’s see, but I’m in a very good mood.
Funny: Even with my long injury caused break, I ran more km before Comrades than in 2012, where I finished in 9h 23 min. I did 1,168 km before Comrades in 2012, and now I’m already at 1,184 km.
| Distance | 13.3 km / 8.3 mi |
| Time | 1 h 09 min |
| Monthly distance (May) | 135.3 km / 84.1 mi |
| Annual distance | 1,184.2 km / 735.9 mi |

I donβt even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good. I don’t know who you are but definitely you’re going to a famous blogger if you aren’t already π Cheers!
